Developed and licensed in the UK, Swift is a new technology used in podiatry and dermatology for the general treatment of skin and verruca lesions. It uses microwave energy delivered through a probe which has been applied to the skin, effectively treating the affected tissue.

You may experience some minor discomfort. Before treatment, we may need to reduce the lesion with a blade. While pain levels vary between each person of course, our experience has demonstrated to us that this feeling is more of a discomfort — similar to an injection or a scratch — and lasts for just seconds. 

In some cases, the treated area may feel sore, but it should not prevent you from undertaking normal daily activities.

As a guide, research shows a success rate of up to 75% with a course of three applications.
Most adults with warts/verruca should have this treatment (in combination with our approach). However, to be sure of your suitability, your podiatrist will assess and then advise you on the next steps accordingly.
Depending on their age and the significance of the verruca, this treatment may also be suitable for children.
