Since welcoming our first patients through our doors, Footfocus Podiatry has become one of the UK’s leading specialists in musculoskeletal / biomechanical and sports podiatry.
Our top priority is always our patients and we give you the best possible care to get you back on your feet after an illness or injury. We also provide you with the support and guidance to help you understand how to prevent any future conditions from forming.
We do this by putting you first. We invest in the latest technology, always, and balance this with a friendly and supportive approach to your healthcare. Your overall wellbeing is what’s important to us and we believe that good health starts with the feet.
During a 60 minute assessment, your podiatrist will take you on the first steps of Your Footfocus Journey.
Step One: You talk and we listen! This allows you to describe your feelings and any pain you are experiencing — and the impact these are having on your life. From this, we can get an understanding of the ‘bigger picture’. This stage can often be as important as any technology we may engage!
This initial conversation will allow your podiatrist to understand what aggravates and alleviates pain, as well as decide which, if any, further investigations are required to enable accurate diagnosis.
Step Two: We’ll then assess your foot and leg using our range of diagnostic tools to give you a diagnosis.
Typically, after your Musculoskeletal / Biomechanical Assessment a diagnosis may involve:
You will find more information about all of these on our FAQs page.
Step Three: We explain what’s happening and why you have developed your injury or illness.
If required, we can use Diagnostic Ultrasound, which allows us to look in more detail at the structures in question.
Step 4: We start doing what we love — getting you better.
A Musculoskeletal Assessment appointment forms part of an agreed management plan. And if an onward course of treatment is required, we will discuss this with you during your appointment to arrange.
Step 5: We stay with you. What’s important to us is your recovery and your long term health and wellbeing, which is why we intend to be here for you.
We don’t just treat foot and leg problems with exceptionally high standards. We allow you to achieve your dreams and quality of life by giving you back your freedom and confidence to move, enjoy, grow and do more of what you love.
